Alan Sklar has a deep and serious voice, and he reads with clarity, an excellent pace, and a sense of gravitas. The
prose of this book is not particularly scintillating, and its content is not ground-breaking or deep. Whatever the
shortcomings of the book, Sklar handles it quite well. In the book, Gingrich, who reads the preface, presents his views
on all the issues of the day. On issues such as confirming judges and combating terrorism, the content is what one would
expect from a former Republican official. The most interesting sections are those in which Gingrich speculates on the
impact of the Information Age and how it will change the job market and healthcare delivery.
